Curriculum
Our broad subject-based curriculum equips children with the necessary knowledge and skills to become competent readers, thoughtful creative and critical thinkers and proficient problem-solvers. In addition to teaching synthetic phonics and mastering maths, we spend more time studying the humanities (History and Geography), languages, sciences, art and design technology, and the performing arts than most schools. This is because we believe a foundation in these subjects gives children the building blocks necessary to lead successful lives, whatever direction they may take.
Pimlico Primary is working with The Curriculum Centre (TCC) to develop its curriculum. For more information on The Curriculum Centre's work visit their website.
Reception
While we will carefully follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, our Reception syllabus covers a great deal more and is excellent preparation for Year 1 and beyond. We will have two new spacious and bright Reception classrooms, complemented by a designated sheltered outdoor teaching and learning area and access to a terrace garden.
