  • Welcome To Pimlico Academy

    Information regarding COVID-19

Future Academies’ highest priority is the wellbeing of its pupils, staff and wider communities.

We are following the Government and Public Health England’s advice on managing the COVID-19 virus and have been closely monitoring the situation. As such, we have taken the decision to close Pimlico Academy today.

This closure comes as a result of the unprecedented challenges that COVID-19 presents to our communities. This week, student attendance has decreased, alongside an increase in staff absence due to the latest guidance from the Government and Public Health England.

At present, Pimlico Academy will remain closed until further notice. Any further closures will be communicated here, or if you are a parent/guardian, via letter and text message. The school will operate a monitored answer machine for urgent messages; please dial 020 7828 0881 to access this service.

During this challenging time, we hope to minimise the disruption to our students’ education as much as possible and we have set students work to complete on a daily basis.

We are implementing plans to provide food for students eligible for Free School Meals; parents/guardians have been contacted directly on this. Contact the number above if you have a query on this.

Thank you to all staff, both those in the classrooms and those who work behind the scenes, for their commitment and sacrifice during these times.

Please follow the latest guidance from the Government and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.

We are ambitious for the success of all our students in the broadest sense possible, and we have the highest expectations and standards in all that we set out to achieve. Our students benefit from an inspiring and challenging curriculum, and we provide a first-rate level of academic and pastoral support. This ensures every student can access the curriculum and develop into happy, confident and articulate young adults. Students also broaden their horizons through our Raising Aspirations programme and extensive extracurricular provision. Together, these support our pupils in thriving academically and in developing passions and interests outside the classroom.

We are proud of the stimulating, supportive and calm environment in the Academy: an environment which brings the best out of our students. We strongly encourage you to visit us, meet the staff and students, and learn more about our ambitions for the future.

    Mrs S. Green, Principal

    Thursday, 15 August 2019

Well done to all our pupils in this cohort who did so well and improved even further on the grades achieved by the previous year group in 2018.

The overall distribution of grades is as follows:

    A*/A                26%

    A*/A/B            63%

    A* - C               85%

Many students achieved an  impressive set of individual grades and are off to prestigious universities including Oxford.

These results are testament to the excellence and resilience of our cohort. They have shown that any grades are achievable, no matter what your background. This is in keeping with our ethos - Libertas per cultum (freedom through education).

Well done to all our Year 13 students. You have worked hard, and made us proud! We wish you all the best with the start of university and are sure you will have bright futures.
