  • First Story Creative Writing Winners!

First Story is a national writing competition which invites students from all secondary state schools across the UK to submit 850 words or less of poetry or prose. This year's theme was 'Footprints'.

We had over forty entries at Pimlico this year detailing footsteps as shadows, footprints across sand, journeys across oceans and memories of the past. Below are the winners that Ms Roberts and Ms Davies picked out of the selection – a very tough call, especially for KS3!

Well done to all the students involved. These students’ entries have now been entered as part of the national competition where they will compete to win a place at an Arvon Residential writing course and their piece published in The Times.
