  • The Diana Award

The Diana Award is given out in Diana, Princess of Wales’ name to young role models who are selflessly transforming the lives of others. They aim to recognise young people who go above and beyond in their daily lives to create and sustain positive change.

Following our work with Diana Award last academic year, eight Year 11 pupils represented Pimlico Academy at the Diana Award’s prize giving event. We are very pleased to have received an award for being a successful mentoring school. The support that the PWC mentors gave to pupils last year was invaluable, and helped them to produce thoughtful and well planned philanthropy projects. Pupils commented that at the event they felt inspired by the philanthropy projects they had heard about and have returned to school wanting to do more. Year 11 Citizenship pupils begin their campaigns coursework in term two, and we look forward to their exciting ideas for positive social change.
